 Pictou Christmas Light Up
December 2, 2011

Beginning at 6:00pm at the Lobster Hatchery on the Pictou Waterfront. Hot drinks available beginning at 5:30pm at the Hector Heritage Quay

An evening of festive activities including choirs, a "Live Nativity", a visit from Santa and his elves, carol singing, hot drinks, treats and prizes. Candle lit song procession to Market Square.

The tree lighting ceremony and LED light exchange will take place at Market Square beginning at 7:00pm.

"Rita MacNeil: My Favorite Songs - My Favorite Season"
At the deCoste Centre at 7:00pm. One of Canada's best loved singers, Rita MacNeil will return to the concert stage with her traditional Christmas concert.

Christmas Open House at the Hector Heritage Quay - 1:00 - 4:00 pm
Drop in with your unique, handmade Christmas ornament and help decorate our Tree! Ship Hector Christmas Cards for sale, and  Membership Packages for that special person on your list!  Refreshments will be served - dress warmly!

"Minglebells" with Matt Minglewood,
deCoste Centre at 7:00pm. Matt Minglewood will be performing his first Christmas themed show this year accompanied by Dave McKeough on guitar, mandolin, pedal steel and bass. Make plans for the merriest show of the season.

'Tis the Season 5'

deCoste Centre at 7:00pm. Bette MacDonald, Maynard Morrison and Ralph Dillon are back and raring to go with their hysterical take on the holiday season. 'Tis the Season has become a holiday tradition.

"A Merry Merry Time with the Irish Rovers"
deCoste Centre at 7:00pm. This tour celebrates the release of the Irish Rovers latest CD, "Merry Merry Time of the Year". Stars of television and stage, The Irish Rovers are celebrating 45 years since their first recording.

Christmas Ceildh
deCoste Centre at 7:00pm. Ardyth and Jennifer—Celtic harpists and singers—return to host this ever popular seasonal ceilidh.  They will be joined onstage by John Spyder Macdonald, Fleur Mainville, guitarist Ray Stewart, Terry Kelly and storyteller John Meir. A festive blend of songs, tunes and stories to put the true meaning into the spirit of Christmas.

Dave Gunning "Back Home for Christmas"

After a hectic fall touring schedule across Canada and the States, we are pleased to have Dave back home to share his music and storie with his hometowm audience. He will be sharing some new songs and arrangements from his latest Christmas offer "Christmas Too".
