 Hector Arena

Hector ArenaFounded in 1972, the Hector Arena is an indoor rink and open seasonally. Programs offered include adult and youth ice hockey, pick-up hockey, public skating, lessons and skating parties. A canteen and skate sharpening services are available onsite. 

Skating Parties
Have the COOLEST party ever. The Hector Arena is a great place to hold your child's birthday party. Parties coincide with Friday's public skating time (3:00 to 4:50 p.m.) and must be pre-booked by arena staff. Groups receive a private room to put on skates and hold your party.

 New Caledonian Curling Club

The New Caledonian Curling Club was formed in 1852 (boasting the third oldest in Canada). The Club has three sheets of ice, clubroom/bar, kitchen and locker-rooms. Brooms and sliders are available for curler usage. A perfect way to pass a Nova Scotian Winter. Curling programs offered include:

 Pictou YMCA

The Pictou Branch of the Pictou County YMCA  - YWCA offers a variety of fitness facilities and programs. The Pictou Branch is open 7 days a week. Limited babysitting services are also available. For information contact 485-9622 or visit their website www.ymywca.com.
