PICTOU TOWN COUNCIL VOTES NOT TO WITHDRAW FROM AMALGAMATION APPLICATION

The Council for the Town of Pictou in special session on June 20, 2016 voted not to withdraw from the joint application to amalgamate filed by the Municipality of the County of Pictou and the Towns of New Glasgow, Pictou and Stellarton on August 28, 2015 with the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board. <more>

Crabby J’s Marina and the Hector Quay Visitors Marina are teaming up to host a boating event called Cruisin the River on Saturday, August 15 from 10:00am-4:00pm. Local Cruise Ship Committee Seeking Entertainers for Cruise Ship Performances
NEW GLASGOW, NS, April 10, 2015
The Pearl Seas Cruise Line is making a number of stops to the Port of Pictou this year, and there are opportunities for local performers to be hired for on board entertainment while each ship is docked during the visit. Ships are scheduled to visit in June, July and October. <more>
