On the Home Front (individuals and families at your home)

PRIZES

Register your team or go solo, call Pictou Recreation at 485-4372;  provide your
address for judging. Judging will take place on February 11th. Create your masterpiece the week of the Winter Carnival. If the weather does not cooperate, take a picture and send it in.

COLORING CONTEST

Spark the artist in you!  Open to all ages. Create your masterpiece leading
up to the weekend of Winter Carnival.

PRIZES to be WON
1st place $50,  2nd place $25

Coloring pages can be picked up at the Pictou Recreation and Parks office at the Town Hall, the Pictou Library, Pictou Pool or you can download <HERE>
Drop Off your artwork at the Town Hall by Friday, February 9th. Judging will take place on Family Day, February 18th.

Glow Skate on the Outdoor Rink
at the CN Station, Front Street, 7:00-9:00 pm
Music, marshmellow roast, hot drinks and glow sticks provided.

Search the Pictou Library for the Valentine symbols. 
Prizes will be awarded for your participation courtesy of the Adopt-a-Library Literacy program.

Family No- Snow Snowman Building Time” IN the Pictou Library - 10:30 am  
Materials will be provided and different samples of what you can do.

Curling Try-It - 
1:00-3:00 pm, bring clean shoes for ice activities

Ball Hockey Shoot Out Challenge

Sleigh Rides (FREE) – 1:30-3:30 pm
Pictou Waterfront at Curling Rink

Learn To Snowshoe - 1:30-2:30 pm, snowshoes provided.

Enjoy a hot chocolate and hot dog while enjoying outdoor winter fun. Color spray bottles and snow fort building blocks will be supplied for snow sculptures/painting on the waterfront. Clean shoes are required for curling activities.  

Family Valentine Bingo – 3:00 pm
Pictou Library
Challenge Mom or Dad, brother or sister to fun games of Valentine Bingo. 
Prizes will be awarded to the winners courtesy of the Adopt-a-Library Literacy program
