TOWN OF PICTOU
The Town of Pictou will be receiving applications for two positions – Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Clerks.
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for the preparation of tax bills, water bills and miscellaneous receivables. They will also provide general administrative support and complete counter/reception duties in the absence of other staff.
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for accounts payable, data entry, administrative support to department heads, and responding to front counter and phone inquiries. They will also assist with communications and recreation programs.
The successful applicants must have experience working in an office setting, and demonstrated knowledge of computers, including MS Excel, Word and Email software. Previous customer service, bookkeeping and municipal experience is considered an asset. Ideally, the AP Clerk will have an understanding of communications or recreation programming.
