Update - Hydrant Flushing continues tomorrow (April 30)
Residents and water utility customers are advised that the Town’s Public Works department will begin flushing water mains and hydrants tomorrow (Wednesday, April 29) starting at 8:00 a.m. in the following areas:
-Welsford Street
-Rowan Lane
-Patlass Place
-Cedar Street
-Union Street
During this time, residents and businesses should expect possible discolored water and reduced water pressure.
As a precaution, users are encouraged to store an adequate supply of water in advance and take steps to protect their hot water tanks by turning off the intake valve and shutting off power to the heater for the duration of the flushing. It is also recommended that customers flush their own systems during the same period.
The Town apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.
