Effective immediately, the public boat launch ramp on the Pictou Waterfront is closed due to ongoing construction at Market Wharf. As work progresses closer to the shoreline, the launch ramp can no longer be safely accessed.

While we understand this may be an inconvenience, this closure marks another important step in the transformation of our waterfront.

The good news is that construction of a new public boat launch ramp is scheduled to begin this fall near Pier B (lands to the right) at the end of Depot Street, with completion anticipated in spring 2027. The new launch ramp will be part of the Town's revitalized waterfront and marina development, providing improved access for boaters for years to come.
