The Town of Pictou is inviting interested companies and individuals to submit an Expression of Interest to operate and lease seasonal commercial space on the Pictou Waterfront for the 2026 season.

The Pictou Waterfront is a vibrant travel destination on the Northumberland Shore and an integral part of the overall “Pictou” experience. The area is home to key attractions such as the Hector Heritage Quay, the deCoste Performing Arts Centre, the Northumberland Fisheries Museum, the Jitney Trail (Trans Canada Trail), and serves as a gathering place for community events, including outdoor concerts and festivals.

There are two waterfront locations owned by the Town of Pictou available through this EOI process:

  1. Food Truck Location – Love Local Vendor Village
    27 Creighton Street
This designated location is intended for a food truck operation as part of the Love Local Vendor Village on the Pictou Waterfront.

  2. Street Side Location – Curling Rink
End of the New Caledonian Curling Rink (exterior space), 66 Caladh Avenue
This space is open to a variety of potential uses. The Town is receptive to creative proposals and ideas for activation of this area, including but not limited to vending, food service, or experiential products that enhance the waterfront experience. Proponents are encouraged to submit proposals and ideas that align with the character of the waterfront, contribute to visitor experience, and complement existing attractions and events.
