Every 2nd Wednesday beginning February 10

    Garbage Collection 2021                   


  • All garbage, organics and recycling must be at the curb by 7:00 a.m. to ensure pickup. Garbage must be placed as close as possible to the roadway, without obstructing traffic or pedestrians.                   
  • Each household is permitted four items of garbage (one solid color bag & 3 clear bags) every two weeks, one organic cart and an unlimited number of bags of material for recycling. Material that is not sorted properly will not be picked up on collection day.
An item of garbage is defined as:
  • 1 plastic nontransparent refuse bag, securely fastened.                   
  • 1 plastic transparent refuse bag securely fastened.                   
  • 1 container of refuse, metal or plastic, weighing no more than 75 pounds.                   
  • 1 box, not exceeding 75 pounds in weight, securely fastened with a stout cord
  • Weighty or bulky items such as stoves, furnaces, bed springs, mattresses, furniture, water or fuel tanks, auto parts, etc. will not be collected. These items may be taken to the transfer station or metal pile by the owner.
