2025 Low Income Tax Exemption Application

APPLICATIONS FOR PARTIAL RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION – LOW INCOME

TheTown of Pictou is currently accepting applications for partial residential property tax exemption.  Applications can be filed up to December 23, 2025 on forms supplied by the Town.  Application forms can be found at www.townofpictou.ca or can be picked up at the Town Office at 40 Water St.

Partial exemptions can be granted to owners/principal residents of homes of up to $480 in situations where the total income of all residents over the age of 18 in the household was under $30,000 for 2024.

Town of Pictou Equity and Anti-Racism Regional Plan Draft

The Town of Pictou Equity and Anti-Racism Plan was presented for council's consideration.  This plan is mandated by the province and was developed in partnership with other Pictou County Municipalities.     pdf Equity and Anti-Racism Plan-draft  (210 KB)
